Directions
From Charlottesville, take 29 South approximately 6 miles (from the intersection of I-64) to Route 708 (Red Hill Road). Turn left and go approximately 3 miles to Route 631 (Old Lynchburg Road). Turn right, and proceed 0.5 miles to the entrance of Walnut Creek Park. Turn left into Park.
From Lynchburg, take 29 North to Route 692 (Plank Road). Note the Crossroads Corner Shops. Turn right and continue on Plank Road (it turns into Route 712). Go approximately 4.5 miles to Route 631 (Old Lynchburg Road). Turn left, and proceed 2.6 miles to the entrance of Walnut Creek Park. Turn right into Park.
From either Staunton (I-81) or Richmond (I-95), Take I-64 to Exit 118-A for 29 South (Lynchburg) and continue with the directions from Charlottesville.

Packet Pickup
There is Saturday registration and packet pick-up from 12-4 pm at the race venue (Walnut Creek Park).
Packets can be picked up as well on race day at Walnut Creek Park from 6:00 - 7:00 am, and we mean 7:00 am on the day of the race.
1) USA Triathlon mandates that ALL athletes must pick up their OWN packet prior to racing. Packets may not be mailed to athletes prior to the race. Packets may not be picked up by anyone other than the competing athlete. Every athlete must have a photo ID and a current USAT annual membership card or proof of a one-day license before they can be given their packet. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this. No ID, No Race.
2) Every athlete to bring their membership card. If an athlete forgets their annual membership card, they will be given four options:

Go back and get their card

Print a temporary card from www.usatriathlon.org

Buy a one-day membership

Renew their annual membership
3) NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF THE RACE. Please see rule 3.5a, b of the USAT Competitive Rule Book regarding unregistered athletes and the implications of such actions.
